The discussion will focus on the 2024 EU report “Safer Together – Strengthening Europe’s Civilian and Military Preparedness and Readiness”, addressing concrete steps to reinforce the Union’s civilian and defence preparedness in the current security environment.
Key themes will include:
- The practical meaning of a “Readiness Union”;
- Risk analysis and crisis management in the new strategic context;
- Civil-military cooperation;
- The transformation of international politics and its implications for Europe’s security, defence and deterrence posture.
The webinar will take place on 23 February, 15:00-16:00 EET and will be moderated by Dr Valtteri Vuorisalo, Strategic Advisor to EuroDefense Finland and Professor of Practice at Tampere University.
