Some comments on the proposal of the European Commission for a regulation establishing the European Defence Industry Programme
The Commission's proposal published on 5 March 2024 'establishing the EDIP and a framework of measures to ensure the timely availability and supply of defence equipment' is rooted in the serious shortcomings of current defence procurement practices in Europe.
