In the EU Strategic Guidelines, it is recognized that in the upcoming decades climate change will be a factor of instability and conflict around the world, which is already being felt today. It is expected that changes in weather patterns could exacerbate tensions, increase violence and generate additional humanitarian needs, as a result of the multiplication of extreme weather events and their impacts, affecting natural and historical heritage, but also and above all human.
